On this special day, it is essential for the wedding couple that their guests feel very comfortable and that the sparks of happiness spray on all sides. Whether one marries in the homeland or decides nevertheless for the variant abroad depends on many factors. However, many couples now opt for a so-called “destinationwedding”. Mallorca is very well suited to celebrate this important day with family and friends. The Balearic Island can be reached from Germany, Austria and Switzerland in just a few flying hours and the climatic conditions are usually more favourable than in the home country. So our charming couple Irina & Christoph fulfilled their dream of a wedding on Mallorca with a finca in the east of the island – the initial planning was done by Jutta and Katja, the selection of the location, preparation of the offer with booking of all relevant service providers, tasting of the cake and menu selection at the catering – then in spring 2019 Maria took over the further organization and execution of the wedding. Despite the bad weather forecast, the couple had a lot of luck on their wedding day because there was a nice mix of sun and soft rain. When it started a bit stronger during dinner, our white wedding umbrellas were used – we think Adrián captured these “rainy moments” in an ingenious way. So don’t panic, dear future wedding couples: rain on your wedding day can create unexpectedly beautiful photos: an explosion of colours, light and emotions! Nevertheless, we always recommend a professional tent solution that can also look beautiful – especially if the nights in spring and autumn can be very cold.

Mallorca Weddings Tip

If it rains more heavily, put out a glass jar and catch the first wedding rain.

In a beautiful glass container it can be kept as a unique reminder of the lucky wedding rain. The weather is no obstacle to the joy of your wedding day, quite the opposite: In many cultures, rain means happiness and with the right preparation, e.g. with a Plan-B variant, depending on the location inside or a tent solution, you can start your wedding day relaxed and carefree if the sun does not shine.

In addition to the typical organizational tasks of a wedding planner, the implementation of wedding surprises of the guests is also part of it. As a loving highlight, family and friends projected elaborately filmed videos onto the screen. Since the wind was a little stronger, the utensils of our emergency case were used, so that despite the unfavorable weather everything still went beautifully. At the beginning of the planning the couple wished for a saxophonist, due to other items this was omitted from the total budget. A few weeks before the wedding a phone call came from the family, who wanted to make this heart’s desire come true as a surprise. In high season it wasn’t that easy to book a good saxophonist – fortunately, thanks to our large network of service providers, the surprise was actually possible. While the party with DJ was already running, the saxophone sounded from the background – an absolute goose bump moment! The reaction of the couple and their guests to the saxophonist on their wedding day was grandiose and more than successful!
